Engineering (CAD, FEM and Experiment)
AZL stands for excellence in lightweight production. With its market and technology know-how, the AZL brings together experts and decision-makers from science and industry to drive business and technology development in the lightweight construction industry. Located on the RWTH campus, the AZL supports international companies, regardless of their position in the value chain, in the development, benchmarking and improvement of design methods, manufacturing techniques, production systems and products.
Your job: Development of innovative designs
You contribute flexibly and support the team in ongoing engineering projects:
- Research: Market and technology developments, e.g. B. of electric or fuel cell vehicles with a focus on the structural requirements
- Design and construction :
- Investigation and implementation of FEM models with a focus on composite lightweight construction
- CAD construction and visualization with SolidWorks
- FEM optimization of multi-material systems (metals, plastics and fiber composites) with OptiStruct
- Support in the processing of extensive research projects
- Evaluation and interpretation : Validation of the results and documentation
Your profile: Student with organizational talent
- Ongoing studies in the field of communication, mechanical engineering, vehicle technology or similar.
- Structured and independent way of working
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written German and English
- Confident use of Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- An additional plus: Knowledge of fiber composites & experience with CAD/FEM and programming (Python)
