Key Topics
With the series of compact “Lightweight TechTalks” AZL is providing a digital platform for presenting technology and market insights to the international lightweight community.
The upcoming TechTalk will focus on New Generation Battery Casings. Electromobility is highly relevant, both in cars and in buses, trucks and increasingly also in aviation. Regardless of the material class of battery casings, the so-called thermal runaway of the cells and the associated thermal and mechanical loads is the most challenging load case and has an enormous influence on material selection, design, protective measures and ultimately on weight, costs, CO2 footprint and circularity. AZL is and has been involved in various individual and Joint Partner Projects on the subject of battery casings.
