29th National SAMPE Symposium @ RWTH Aachen Campus

This year’s SAMPE Germany will be hosted by RWTH Aachen University, organized by AZL Partner Institute IKV (Institute for Plastic Processing in Industry and Craft).  On April 2nd and 3rd, 2025, composite experts from research and industry will meet to discuss on the key topic “Clean energy and mobility: Shaping a sustainable future with composite materials”.

The symposium highlights the broad expertise at the campus, addressed in sessions on hydrogen, vitrimers, production systems, innovative fibre materials, mobility solutions, future developments and opportunities in aerospace and renewable energies.

As RWTH’s official center for ‘Composite-based lightweight Production’, the AZL & its partner institutes will be on site and contribute to the event with interesting insights.

In addition to a rich program with lots of insightful presentations from industry and the RWTH institutes, participants will also have the chance to visit the institutes:

  • IKV – Institute for Plastic Processing in Industry and Craft
  • ITA – Institut für Textiltechnik
  • AZL – Aachen Center for Integrative Lightweight Production
  • WZL – Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering
  • SLA – Institute of Structural Mechanics and Lightweight Design
  • CWD – Center for Windpower Drives

A great opportunity to get to know the campus and its infrastructure and to experience one of the largest research landscapes in Europe up close.
