AZL Updates

ÖZER Group joins the AZL network

We are pleased to welcome ÖZER Group as a new member of the AZL partner network. The independent, familyrun business has been active for more than 30 years and focuses on the manufacturing of thermoplastic sheets and products for a wide range of applications.

Under its brand Roplast, the company is headquartered in Eskişehir, Turkey, and develops and produces solutions such as corrugated plastic sheets, lightweight sandwich and composite panels, foldable containers, insulation parts for household appliances as well as components for automotive interiors.

With its broad portfolio and continuous development of new products, ÖZER Group serves various industries including automotive, packaging, household appliances and biotech.

To learn more about the company and its activities, we asked four questions that were answered by Gizem Suzan Döner, Project & Business Development Manager from OZER Group…

Your portfolio includes lightweight corrugated sheets, sandwich panels, and foldable containers – in which industries or applications do you currently see the strongest demand for these products, and how do you differentiate yourself from other manufacturers?

At Özer Grup, our product portfolio under Hexapan, Fibropan, UDMAX and Hexapak and brands addresses a wide range of industries where lightweight, durable, and sustainable solutions are essential. We see the strongest demand in:

  • Automotive industries, where lightweight structures are critical for performance and fuel efficiency for interior trim parts and new generation EV battery casing&Protection plates
  • Vehicle Body: to boost stiffness and crash performance while keeping weight down with Hexapan Product Portfolio
  • Thermoplastic Composite Pipes (TCP); Hydrogen tanks, Thermoplastic Composite Pipes with UDMAX UD tape portfolio
  • Logistics and returnable packaging systems, especially for closed-loop supply chains with Hexapak foldable boxes
  • Advertisement sectors: Hexapan panels are used to make large-format signboards, display stands, exhibition stands & trade Show Booths and hoardings.
  • Construction and industrial applications, with impact- and weather-resistant panels

We differentiate ourselves by:

  • Offering tailor-made solutions backed by in-house engineering and tool development
  • Utilizing advanced extrusion and lamination technologies to ensure high durability with minimal weight
  • Focusing on sustainability, with fully recyclable, reusable, and long-lifecycle product designs
  • Maintaining high flexibility and fast delivery thanks to our vertically integrated production facilities
  • Offering huge range product portfolio using with Extrusion technology under the one company

How do your production technologies and material innovations contribute to creating sustainable and highperformance lightweight solutions, particularly for automotive and logistics applications?

Our production technologies combine:

  • Advanced co-extrusion, thermoforming, and multilayer lamination
  • Custom-developed thermoplastic blends offering impact resistance, chemical durability, and
  • Incorporation of recycled materials in line with customer and regulatory sustainability goals

These technologies enable us to develop:

  • Lightweight structural panels for automotive interiors&exteriors, partitions, and non-visible components
  • Foldable and stackable containers (FoldaPack) for return logistics, reducing empty transport and emissions
  • Weatherproof sandwich panels for industrial and construction use

Sustainability is at the core of our design process. All our products are designed for recyclability and ease of reuse, in alignment with circular economy principles.

What new industries or geographic markets are you planning to address in the coming years with your thermoplastic lightweight products?

Our strategic expansion focuses include:

  • Electric and commercial vehicles, especially lightweight interior and underbody applications
  • Public transport and railway, requiring flame-retardant and lightweight components
  • Agriculture and construction sectors, with robust yet lightweight panel systems
  • Geographic growth Central and Eastern Europe and the USA is accelerating, driven by the rapid evolution of supply chain service and bringing footprint for OEM’s.

We aim to expand our brands in these markets through both direct sales and strategic partnerships.

What kind of exchange or joint development are you looking for within the AZL network to further develop your product portfolio or open up new applications?

Through the AZL network, we’re looking to:

  • Collaborate on new thermoplastic composite material development, especially for highperformance applications
  • Partner on simulation and testing for structural optimization in lightweight components
  • Explore advanced recycling and circularity solutions to further reduce environmental impact
  • Develop new application fields through joint innovation with OEMs, suppliers, and research institutes

Our goal is to co-create scalable, sustainable solutions that can meet the growing needs of automotive, logistics, and industrial sectors.

What key trends or challenges in the lightweight and plastics industry currently drive your innovation roadmap?

Several industry trends are actively shaping our product development:

  • Lightweighting needs inEV automotive and transport market with affordable targets to increase battery performance
  • Sustainability pressures, pushing for full recyclability and reduced carbon footprints
  • Reusable logistics solutions, driven by automation and cost optimization
  • Stringent regulatory requirements around flame retardancy, VOCs, and end-of-life recyclability
  • China’s aggressive pricing tactics are disrupting global competition

At Özer Grup, we are continuously investing in R&D and material science to align with these trends, ensuring that our brands — UDMAX -, Hexapan, Fibropan &Hexapak — remain at the fore front of thermoplastic lightweight solutions.
