R&D Lab Manager (m/w/d) 

The R&D Lab Manager will be responsible for the timely, effective, and high-quality support in the materials testing laboratory organization of the R&D CoE. This through materials testing and the management of a team of Technologies, the extensive lab capabilities and support in terms of technical capability development aligned with the organization’s strategic initiatives. Furthermore, the Lab Manager will be responsible for the monitoring and improvement of output efficiency and quality of the team. The laboratory leader also oversees capital expenditures and budget for the laboratory and team.

What are you going to do?:

• Global material science testing and capabilities team management
• Alignment of new lab capability identification to meet global technology direction
• Scientific materials science support to the global R&D team
• Managing application testing and evaluation laboratory capital expenditure and budget
• People leader for 8-10 subordinates

What job requirements do we ask of you?:

• M. Sc. or higher in a science field
• Knowledge of polymers pertinent for Trinseo such as PC ABS acrylics and governing mat sci testing techniques relevant to polymer characterization and application
• You bring a can-do attitude to work but with a safety-first mindset
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience within R&D settings
• Spoken and written fluency in English is a must
• This role will be positioned minimum of 75% at the office/lab
