Das Symposium »Composite Engineer Connect« findet alle zwei Jahre an verschiedenen Veranstaltungsorten statt. Dieses Jahr sind das Fraunhofer-Institut für Produktionstechnologie IPT und das Fraunhofer-Institut für Lasertechnologie ILT die gastgebenden Institute des Symposiums. \nDas Symposium »Composite Engineer Connect 24« beschäftigt sich mit verschiedenen Technologiefeldern von Faserverbundwerkstoffen. In der Weiterbildung stellen acht Fraunhofer-Institute sowie das »Aachener Zentrum für integrativen Leichtbau (AZL)« die neusten Trends\, Anwendungen und Forschungsaktivitäten im Bereich der Faserverbundtechnologien vor. Im Fokus stehen dabei folgende Module: \n\nFertigungsverfahren\nRecycling und Instandhaltung\nKurzfaserverstärkte Kunststoffe\nMechanische und thermische Fügeverfahren\nMulti-Material-Design\nProduktionstechnologien\n\nNeben theoretischen Einheiten präsentieren das Fraunhofer IPT\, das Fraunhofer ILT und die »AZL Aachen GmbH« ihre Forschungs- und Entwicklungsaktivitäten in ihren Hallen- und Laborbereichen. Durch ein gemeinsames Abendprogramm sowie ausreichende Mittags- und Kaffeepausen bietet das Symposium zahlreiche Möglichkeiten zum thematischen Austausch und fruchtbaren Netzwerken innerhalb der FVK-Branche.
