Visit AZL at Composites Europe: Industry meets Science
At this year’s Composites Europe in Stuttgart, AZL will be represented at the Industry meets Science area of Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV) in Industry and the Skilled Crafts at RWTH Aachen University together with its Partner Institutes of RWTH Aachen University.
AZL will present the 3d-complex demonstrator part of the BMBF funded project OPTO-Light in which a new three-step process for the production of fiber-reinforced thermoset-thermoplastic hybrids for automotive structural applications is developed. Soon, the developed technologies of the research project will be presented thoroughly during a public final meeting in the technical laboratory of AZL in Aachen.
Another highlight of the AZL research presented during Composites Europe will be the BMBF funded project iComposite 4.0. In collaboration with project partners such as Schuler, Frimo and Siemens, AZL develops an economic serial production of fiber-reinforced plastic parts achieved by automated additive preforming processes (“3D printing”) – in combination with the established Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) process. By linking the production system to intelligent quality assurance systems (“Internet of Things”) self-regulated production will be achieved.
Furthermore, the AZL team will be happy to give you an insight into the collaboration within the AZL Partner Network consisting of more than 80 international companies and 9 established institutes on the RWTH Aachen Campus. The collaboration includes Joint Business Development, cost-sharing in R&D, Open Innovation and networking as well as talent acquisition and office space at the RWTH Aachen Campus.
We are looking forward to meet you during Composites Europe at Industry meets Science, booth C2/A42.
