New potentials for composite technologies in buildings and infrastructure – Study open to join
The building & infrastructure market offers multiple opportunities and potential applications for composite components. To investigate market conditions, technology specifications and production improvements, AZL initiated a joint market and technology study on “New Potentials for Composite Technologies in Buildings & Infrastructure”. A consortium gathering more than 25 companies and the researchers of the Aachen Centre for Integrative Lightweight Production (AZL) of RWTH Aachen University identify future drivers and business opportunities for composite applications by working hand in hand in a proven and systematic study structure.
Interested companies can join the study and get access to 438 applications which were allocated to 20 different market segments and 66 sub segments, to so called technology trees which systematically document the applications for each sub segment, to a catalogue of 40 main challenges and more study results.
In our recently published article in JEC magazine 114, we describe the systematic approach and the results of the study. Read the article at this link.
